DESIGNER

Nearing 15 years as a designer, I've enjoyed working on diverse projects and in various environments including: corporate, start-up, agency, and as a small business owner. I've worked on projects for Gap, Razorfish, Dipdive, Sports Authority and more. I'm currently at eBay, where I've lead and managed a team of UX and visual designers in the Fashion vertical. I'm now focused on hollistic/E2E site-wide experiences working with several teams across the company in order to guide seamless and multi-device solutions.

I'm passionate about defining and solving the right problem in order to satisfy user and business needs. I'm highly collaborative and blend creative, technical, and management experience to lead projects from inception through completion. I'm proficient in all levels of design execution using the approriate fidelity and delivery mechanism to best communicate the product story. Because of this, I'm equally strong in interaction and visual design.

LEADER

As a leader, I've held management positions, where I'm comfortable building, growing, and establishing visions for design teams and projects. My leadership is exemplified by fostering cross-functional relationships, evangelizing design and design culture, and always advocating user first. I gain great satisfaction bringing people together to discuss design challenges by facilitating workshops, ideation sessions, or hack-a-thons. Because of my diverse background, I'm also comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences.

APPROACH

Design and product development is a continuous cycle of concept, build, test, learn... but, I'm also a big believer of the design process. While it is often misunderstood in other functions, I've used it as an opportunity to include, inspire, and inform business partners. This has resulted in better alignment of goals/expectations, more effective and higher quality of output, and encourages design validation through "Design-lead" projects.
